Terms & Conditions

Mountain Pilates Co.
Monbulk, Victoria

We want our classes to be enjoyable, accessible and fair for everyone.

Because our classes are intentionally kept small, every booking matters. Our terms and conditions help us keep classes running smoothly, give clients the opportunity to attend when spaces become available, and ensure our policies are fair and consistent for everyone.

By booking or purchasing a class, membership or class pack with Mountain Pilates, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Class Bookings & Cancellations

Our 24-hour cancellation policy

We require 24 hours' notice if you are unable to attend a booked class.

Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the class start time allow you to rebook into another eligible class during the same week or the following week, subject to availability.

We offer this flexibility because we understand that plans change, while also giving us enough time to offer your place to another client.

Late cancellations & no-shows

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class start time, or failure to attend a booked class, are considered a late cancellation/no-show.

The following applies:

Weekly Direct Debit Members
Your booked class will be forfeited. As your weekly membership payment has already been processed, there is no additional fee charged.

Class Pack Clients
The class credit will be forfeited.

Casual Bookings
The class fee will be forfeited.

Late cancellations and no-shows cannot be rebooked or credited to another week.

Because our classes are small, a late cancellation can prevent another client from taking that place, particularly when there is a waitlist.

2. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that unexpected things happen.

Genuine exceptional circumstances will always be considered case-by-case. These may include:

  • Sudden illness or acute injury

  • An immediate family emergency

  • Hospitalisation of an immediate family member

  • Flood, fire or other natural disaster

  • Other significant circumstances outside your reasonable control

Please contact us as soon as possible if an unexpected circumstance prevents you from attending.

Where appropriate, we may request reasonable supporting documentation.

3. Rebooking

Where the required 24 hours' notice is provided, you may rebook your class into another eligible class during the same week or the following week, subject to availability.

Rebooking is not guaranteed and depends on a suitable space being available.

Membership classes and class pack credits cannot otherwise be carried forward indefinitely or accumulated.

4. Memberships

Mountain Pilates memberships are ongoing memberships paid by weekly direct debit.

Your membership provides access to the number of eligible studio classes included in your selected membership.

Weekly class allocation

Membership classes are allocated on a weekly basis.

Unused membership classes do not roll over from one week to the next, except where specifically permitted under our 24-hour cancellation/rebooking policy.

Memberships cannot be used to accumulate credits for future weeks or exchanged for cash.

Membership payments

Membership payments are processed automatically each week.

Once a payment has been processed, it is generally non-refundable, except where required by Australian Consumer Law or where Mountain Pilates agrees otherwise.

If a payment fails, your membership may be suspended until the outstanding payment is resolved.

Cancelling your membership

You may cancel your membership by providing 14 days' written notice via email to:

mountainpilatesmonbulk@gmail.com

Your membership and weekly billing will cease 14 days after your cancellation notice is received.

Cancelling your membership does not automatically cancel individual class bookings already made during your notice period. The normal 24-hour cancellation policy continues to apply.

5. Class Packs

Mountain Pilates offers:

  • 5 Class Pack — $176

  • 10 Class Pack — $330

  • 20 Class Pack — $616

Class packs are purchased upfront and provide credits for eligible studio classes.

Class pack terms

Class packs:

  • Are for the individual purchaser and are not transferable unless approved by Mountain Pilates.

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Cannot be used in conjunction with another offer unless specifically stated.

  • Are subject to our 24-hour cancellation policy.

  • Are valid for the period stated at the time of purchase.

If you cancel within 24 hours or do not attend a booked class, the applicable class credit will be forfeited.

6. Casual Classes

Casual classes are available for clients who prefer to book and pay for individual classes.

Our current casual studio class rate is $32 per class (+ GST).

Casual bookings are subject to the same 24-hour cancellation and no-show policy.

Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the class may be rebooked into another eligible class during the same week or following week, subject to availability.

7. Bookings & Waitlists

Classes must be booked in advance through our booking system.

If a class is full, you may join the waitlist.

If a space becomes available, you may be contacted or automatically notified through the booking system.

Joining a waitlist does not guarantee a place in the class.

Once a waitlist place has been confirmed, the normal 24-hour cancellation policy applies.

8. Transfers

Memberships, class packs and class credits are intended for the person who purchased them and generally cannot be transferred to another person.

If you have exceptional circumstances and would like to request a transfer, please contact Mountain Pilates and we will consider your request.

9. Fees & Pricing

All fees are displayed on our website and/or booking system at the time of purchase.

Prices may change from time to time.

Any changes to ongoing membership fees will be communicated to members before the new fee takes effect.

Where applicable, GST will be charged as indicated at the time of purchase.

10. Refunds

Except where required by Australian Consumer Law, payments for memberships, class packs and casual classes are non-refundable once payment has been processed.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

11. Health, Safety & Participation

Before participating in classes, clients are responsible for informing Mountain Pilates of any relevant injury, limitation or change in health that may affect their ability to safely participate.

Our instructors may modify exercises or recommend that you seek appropriate medical or allied-health advice where they believe this is necessary for your safety.

Clients are expected to follow reasonable instructions provided by Mountain Pilates instructors.

12. Respect for Our Community

Mountain Pilates is a community studio and we ask all clients to treat our instructors, staff and fellow clients with respect and consideration.

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a booking or membership where behaviour is unsafe, abusive, threatening or otherwise inappropriate.

13. Changes to These Terms

Mountain Pilates may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The most current version will be published on our website.

Updated terms will apply to purchases and bookings made after the updated terms take effect.
